Starting on June 22, hackers began running thousands of stolen credit card numbers through our Stripe donation option. We have come to understand these fraudulent entities do this to “test” whether a credit card is active. We have had many thousands of $10 attempts through Stripe that weren’t active cards, but also thousands that were active so they went through on our Stripe service. Thanks to the help of our own tech team, we have been able to bring this attack to a halt. 

Please know that we are committed to refunding all of these charges, but because Stripe has failed to cooperate with us at this stage, we would ask that you reach out to us directly to dispute any charge. In the meantime, we are working to refund any charges we believe are erroneous, but due to sheer volume have not been able to complete this for each transaction as of yet.
